Told yall a while back I bought a green 92' vn750 for $900 thats been sitting in some guys garage for the last 2 years, well ... today..... I GOT IT RUNNING!!!! had to tear down the carb and I've still got to rebuild the front master cylinder and clean the gas tank but when all is said and done I'll have about $1100 in it.

out of curiosity what is the best way yall have found to get rust out of a gas tank?

There are many different methods. I tried electrolysis, which adds metal to the tank, but my "smart" battery charger wouldn't work. If you have an old style charger that doesn't automatically turn itself off, that might be the way to go.
