I believe it's a little less than 12 1/2 ounces ( around 12.4 ). Best to wait for another answer.

I used hydralic jack oil. It was permatex brand.
US, Canada-------12.2 +/-0.08 US fluid oz. This the amount of oil needed. This is for dry fill. At oil change it says to use 10.5 US fl. oz.
From the haynes manuel.

Tip copied from above link:
I did read from somewhere a good tip for pressing the new seal in place: Put the old seal between the new one and the pipe. That way there is little chance that you can damage the new seal. I used it myself and it worked great.

*BelRay* 15 weight fork oil is highly regarded.
The dealer didn`t have it so I got a bottle of *Motul* 15 weight fork oil to use when I change my fork seals.

The Clymer manual recommends SAE 10W-20 fork oil.

310-320 ml (10.48-10.82 US oz.) if you just drain the oil. For all models worldwide.

After a complete disassembly, 359-364 ml (12.04-12.31 US oz.) for US and Canadian models.
ALL OTHERS: 370-375 ml (12.51-12.68 US oz.)

Ma Kaw recommends measuring the oil level for each fork leg to be as equal as possible.

Canadian and US models- 220-240 mm (8.66-9.45") below top edge of inner slider tube.
All other models - 205-225 mm (8.07-8.86")
