Hi all- hoping I can get some quick help. Here is the story-

Bought a 95 about 3 months ago- has run trouble free since the day I bought it- great bike- I can see why you are all such fans. Found this site as a referal from the previous owner.

I'm on my way home from work yesterday and pull in to fill up (love the 50mpg's that these get!!) When finished I turn on the key- everything lights up like normal- hit the starter button and hear a click and everything goes blank. I get off the bike, turn off the key and push it out of the way. turn the key back on, everything lights up, hit the starter button and it fires right up- no problems on the rest of my trip home.

Go out this morning to leave for work- turn on key everything lights up. Hit starter button- hear a click and it all goes dark again- only this time she never lights up again. Pushed it back into my garage, cussed a bit and had to drive a car to work. The entire way I'm thinking- I hope those guys on VN750.com can help. Any thought on where to start troubleshooting? The clutch and kick stand dummy switches have never worked, so I don't think those would be the problem. Anyone?

Check your battery connections first and make sure they are tight. Then make sure the battery is fully charged. Do you know how old the battery is? Might be time for a new one. If the battery is good and the connections tight, might be a charging issue.

Hi all- My post was a little premature maybe- got home last night after work and checked the batter connections- had a loose positive wire. Tightened it up and vroom! started right up- no issues.

Thanks to all that replied- really appreciate it, and good to know that so many of you are willing to reply and try to help out.
