Help, oils drain plug broke off

119 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Spockster
Went to change oil today and the head on the plug was already completely rounded off. I couldn’t find an extraction socket at the store so I used a rotary tool to make a slot the. Used a flathead impact screwdriver to try and bust it loose only I ended up breaking half the head off. Any tips on getting this out? 1986 Vulcan 750

Once it starts to move you should be OK you’ll need to buy a new piece because that bolt head is part of the whole plate, apparently it was tighten down too much. There’s an O-ring underneath a jthat plate. It just needs to be snug you don’t need the bull it
