Hello all,

Went to start my bike for the first time today after winter. put a new battery in as the old one was 4 years old so i decided to change it out. bike turned over no problem but started to "niagra falls" gas out of the air filters. stopped starting the bike and made sure my choke was off. tried it again with the same result. thinking its my float in one of the carbs but cant tell which.

Before winter i had put some sta-bil in the tank and ran it to 1/4. parked it in the garage turned the fuel off and took the battery out to charge. New York winters are pretty cold so im not sure if the cold got to it but i dont have the mechanical background to diagnose myself. I have tried tapping lightly on the carb to try and break the float free but no change.

Any help is appreciated!

Yep, stuck float(s). Try rapping a bit harder, faster. Plastic screwdriver handle will prevent dinging up the carbs. If that fails, time to pull the carbs.

Might have gas in the oil now too.
