Helloha.

So, one of my exhaust pipes has a couple of tiny dints, dents, scraps & scratches from the previous owner's stunts. And, predictably enough, those have started rusting slowly. I can sand & de-rust those, but without protective treatment of some sort, they'll just re-rust soon. So...

Can anyone recommend some sort of anti-rust treatment for clear metal (lacquer or whatever) that I could use on the exhaust pipe without a) having it peel / discolor because of heat and b) having it change the chrome color (significantly) ?

Thank you!

Besides getting them re-chromed, I don't think there is much you could do.

Maybe hi-temp engine paint and use some type of color scheme/design that could match the bike.
Or go old school and wrap them with heat resisting tape.

I just plonked some $1000 into the bike, all things summed up... can't afford new exhaust right now. :(
