Hey guys, Ive orderd the clymers repair manual but it hasnt came in yet and I need some info on the headlight relay.

First question is where is it located on my 2000 vulcan 750?
2nd what exactly does it look like?
and 3rd, with my stator replacement and new wiring harness, I read that you jump the yellow relay wire over to one leg of the stator to gain use of the light. With that being said Ive looked and looked and have only found just a very small amount of info on it in the mosfet sticky which doesnt go into detail about it or show very clear pics. Can some one help me out here? Im about to tackle this job for the first time and need all the help I can get. I hope you understand.

Thank you
Scott

The headlight relay itself is located inside the fuse box, you can't replace it.

The easiest way to do the mod, is wire in a splice from one of the stator legs to pin 14 on the JB (cut the solid yellow wire on the JB 10 pin connector about 2" from the JB, leaving enough room for you to solder and heatshrink, or use a buttconector with heatshrink).

ok, so i dont want to just cut it and seperate it from the clip, I just want to splice into it and leave it in its original place? Sounds simple enough.

you have two options... Option one is to tape off the old 6 pin R/R connector and not use it, or like I did, trace the harness back to the JB and Stator bullet connectors and carefully remove the whole harness. Cut the yellow wire at the JB far enough back to give your self room to wire in a wire you splice from the Roadcycle install kit.
