Got this from the XL Forum & started to post in the Goat's Belly, but thought it might be useful since a lot of the VN750 are getting older...
Some odd ways of cleaning a gas tank...
I know I used to clean my old outboard gas tanks after pitchin in several hands full of gravel in them by shaking by hand, this might save a lot of elbow grease...lol...

Someone elae also stated that they had used their clothes dryer after wrapping the tank in blankets or something, just on fluff, no heat...

Good video OD.
I`ve also read about wrapping the tank in a quilt and rattling the nuts around inside for a couple of hours to clean the rust out.

Fortunately I live in a dry climate and the inside of my tank is still pretty much rust free. :smiley_th

I've heard of filling the tank with BB's, wrapping a quilt around the tank and placing it in the dryer on cool and letting spin for a while.

What a riot ! Red Green got nuthin on this guy lol. I think he's using the shovel to regulate the speed of the wheel, ha ha. Its a limited slip rear end on the truck and it looks like he's using the shovel as a brake... or it could be his shocks lol.

Nuts

I'd love to see or hear the audio from that wrapped up fuel tank in the dryer with a hand full of new 9/16ths nuts banging around inside :)
