Hello - I just discovered the nut (part # 92015, picture below) missing. God knows how long I've been riding it this way.

Can someone please answer a couple questions?

1) Why doesn't the wheel fly off?

2) Would a nut like this be easily available in local stores or must I go through a Kawi parts house?

THANK YOU!

The axel is locked down on the right side of the forks. You probably got a lot of flex in the forks especially when turning. You can replace the metric nut from a hardware store, best to find a flange nut the same as the original. I've upgraded several nuts and bolts over the years with higher grade hardware, especially on my dirt bikes and ADV's. Or just order a new OEM
