I got my new shinko on the front, and after torquing the right side fork clamp to 114 in lb I went to 41ftlb the axle nut and it was spinning the axle before I hit 41. I stuck a screwdriver through the hole on the far end of the axle to hold it while I torqued it but after torquing, I went to tighten it more and it still spun the axle.

Should I tighten the clamp on the fork? Is it fine that the axle spins? It's not free spinning by any means... It just turns with the nut while trying to tighten

Tighten the bolt on the fork. Shouldn't really be any movement.

Yeah, axle shouldn't spin. Make sure there's no grease on the contact areas...

Thanks. I figured u should tighten the fork bolt but I torqued it to spec so didn't know.
