I guess beggars can be choosers.........

Isn't the wheel on the 500 a spoked one? If the outer rim is damaged you can just buy that, and replacement spokes for any that might be bent...you do not need to buy a whole wheel.

KM
I don`t know about motorcycle wheels, KM, but I was going to do this with a mountain bike wheel about 10 years ago. It turned out to a lot cheaper to buy a whole new wheel than to have the old one rebuilt. It may be practical to rebuild it yourself, IF you have the knowhow and patience to lace the spokes up and true the wheel. If not, I believe most will find it to be a frustrating exercise.:(

thanks KM, olhosscanada, yea i thought about the outer rim myself, but she wants a whole new wheel. i told her with the one on ebey, a little cleaning and polishing, it be good as new. but NO, she wants new..lol. and you know women, they get what they want.
i may just buy the one on ebey myself, clean it up and tell her its new and sell it to her for what i give for it.

thanks you two

Have you two been looking on Craigslist?

Don't know where to find a new one, or close to new, for less than $85...

You might have to let her search on her own awhile until she gets the picture.

Good advice. Sometimes we don't see untill we look with our own eyes!
