I've been needing to replace my air filters for some time now but really didn't want to spend money on K&N. I searched the internet and found out about UNI filter material. It is 5/8" green foam and comes in sheets 12"x16". I gave my local motorcycle shop a call and he had some in stock.
It usually cost around $13 for a package. I am going to cut pieces to fit the filter cages and hot glue them so they can be removed and cleaned like stock filters. It looks to be enough to make about 2 filters from the package.
I was told to treat the filters with a machine oil or whatever you normally use. It's definitely cheaper than K&N or stock filters.

God bless
