Engine Guards

Just bought the 750 and rode it for the first time yesterday. The engine guards leave very little room for my feet on the brake and gear pedal. Am I the only one with this problem or has anyone had it too and figured out what to do?

I had the same problem. I removed the engine guard.
It's a solution but not the one I was looking for. Maybe there is something else that can be done first. Thanks.
what type of guard do you have? kaw or wingerline?
kawasaki guards
i have the wingerline and have no problem (size 12). i am real surprised that the kaw guard is a problem
by the way did you try adjusting the position of the shift & brake lever? i had to paly with mine till it felt comfortable. just a thought
Brake pedal adjustment?

I also don't feel comfortable with the stock brake pedal, it is
to far down. My pedal needs adjustment.

How did you adjust the pedal? or are you refering to adjustment of
the brake?
all you have to do to adjust the resting height of the brake pedal is loosen the bolt on the pedal collar that is on the pivot shaft, pull of the brake pedal and reposition it on the pivot shaft to the position you feel comfortable with and retighten the bolt.
Repositioning brake pedal

Your response is a big help, going to head for the garage now and
adust the pedal angle.

Must have been the dealer that put mine at such a strange angle
and difficult to press.:smiley_th
you the man! don't know if you got my mail but that is exactly the solution. already checked in the garage and that will work. thanks for your help and concern
Where can I find the " wingerline " engine guard? Hopefully with
good foot pegs.
Like that quality Wingrline engine guard, did you get the wingerline
footpegs also? If so which ones did you get? I don't understand
what is ment by small stirrup and large stirrup foot pegs.? I assume the size 12 is shoe size?

Just make sure the rear brake is still adjusted properly.
Or if all it needs is a "little" adjustment, you can adjust how high it stops (there is a special bolt just for that on the brake pedal) then tighten the adjusting nut on the end of the brake rod so the brake has the proper amount of travel
