Does anyone know if there are any large, full-loop engine guards available for the VN750 i.e. similar to the type on the Kawi KZ1000 police bikes? I have a KZ1000 beater and the engine bars are worth their weight in diamonds. If you lay the bike over, nothing gets scratched except the bar and your pride.

why fabricate it.. you could just mod one to fit.. wouldn't be hard.. just make a place to mount the upper tabs to the frame above the radiator, and to pieces of flat stock to mount where the KF&S engine guard mounts to the front pegs. should cost all of about $12 bucks in materials, and 2 hours of time.

Wouldn't it just be easier not to "lay the bike over"???

It has actually been shown that the large KZ type crash bars increase the chances of serious injury as opposed to diminish it. The CHP did a study on this years back, and even though they did find the above to be true...they kept the bars on their bikes simply because they needed them there to hold the sirens and lights.

And, on the Vulcan, due it's narrow Vtwin motor...not much really can get hurt. The usual damage seems to be levers and footpegs....fairly cheap items.
