Ok, I screwed something up last night. I'm sure my answer is here in the forum somewhere already, but I've tried a few things and haven't solved it yet.

Last night I was changing the coolant in my bike and I removed the gas tank to get to the bleeder valve on the thermostat. I didn't realize it at the time, but I pulled back too hard on the tank and un-hooked the gas line from the petcock to the front carb and the vacuum (I think this is the vacuum, it goes straight down out of the petcock) and the line from the back carb actually stayed on the petcock and came off of the carb. I re-attached all of these (I THINK correctly), and made sure my vent hose wasn't kinked up and started the bike up. It idled fine for about 2 minutes, so I took off around the block. About 3/4 of the way around, the front cylinder quit firing, so I went around again and it pretty much sputtered and was missing the whole way around the block. I coasted into my garage and let the bike sit over night. This morning, when I tried to start it up, I had to keep the bike revving at a pretty high RPM to keep it going and it sounds / smells (definitely smells) like it's getting way too much gas and it won't idle.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm assuming I've re-attached something wrong or kinked something up. Carbs are all pretty much new / rebuilt right before I bought the bike, so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem, and the tank is about 2/3 full yet with a good shot of SeaFoam in it attempting to fix the problem I had last weekend that I previously posted about.

Thanks!

Ok, I've spent most of the day reading through old posts and have a multitude of things to go home and try. I think I have pretty much the same thing going on that Cardinal Fang did a week or so ago and there was some pretty good info in that post. I will give some of those a shot (just wish I had Bumpy down the road from me).

Double-check how you hooked up the lines to your carbs...got any pics?? If it was running fine before, I'm guessing there's an "intervention effect" going on.
