I kinda like it too....mostly just because it's diffrent. Everyone's got a fkun black seat.
Corbin still makes 750 seats. And as you can see they also make custom seats out of exotic material. It likely cost more than 500 bucks. I know the backrests new were $230.00 alone and that was ten years ago.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say....
Really have to be on the right colored bike of course...
According to the Corbin FAQ, they will recover a seat:
"Naturally we offer recovers, repairs and restorations of your Corbin saddle. The cost of recovering a seat can vary quite a bit and your best option is to contact our Customer Service department directly. To give you an idea: If your saddle needs a new cover made, the cost will be approximately 75% of that seat model's current price. This is because the greatest area of cost on a saddle (in raw materials AND labor) is in the cover and assembly."
So if you figure a new seat like that on their website is $479 for the seat and $229 for the backrest...$708 total. 75% of that would be $530 for a recover. :wow:
Of course if you are handy enough that you could recover it yourself, or could get some money from someone for that nice ostrich skin cover....or maybe somehow stain it black and remove the girly tassels on the sides.
