Hello all,
I'm planning on doing an ear shave soon but i got a few questions for ya'll. Do most people take out the 'Surge Tank' (fresh air box) from under the gas tank when they shave...or do some people leave it in? Is the only way to remove it require you to take the engine out? Do you plug or filter the vacuum line that goes from the rear carb to that thing in front of the battery? I think that's all the ones i got for now...but i'll probably be back with more :)

Yeah, if i get this ear shave done...i don't see myself putting them back on. And i'd rather cut the thing to pieces than take the engine out. Thanks.

No need to pull the engine, just the gas tank. Then position the wiring harness out of the way and you should be able to get the air box out.
