I was looking at a stronger spark, wondering if anyone has given MSD coils a shot... i've heard the Dynas have a bad failure rate. also anyone mess with the ignition, MSD has an iginition system for 2 cyl. engines. aparently the ignition system stops the double spark (the spark on the exhaust cycle) and uses the 2nd plug as a second spark plug, causing for faster ignition. more power?

there is the link

I got the accel Super Coil kit for the project bike. You need the one for CDI type bikes and I believe they come with 8 mm wires
There is a dealer on ebay now that has a reference to email him for CDI coil prices

As he states in his listing..
"Accel is a well known leader in ignition coil technology offering quicker starting, better mileage, far higher voltage and a much faster rise time and longer spark duration for longer superior performance."

That with the iridium plugs should give you a really strong spark

CRAP!!!! we have cdi on our bikes... no wonder i couldn't get a strait answer outta the msd rep.
Is it just a coil kit or ignition module as well? I was looking at later on at maybe playing with the power curve (after i install pipes). Thanks

It's just the coil and wires

NOTE..If your motorcycle is not listed here and has a CDI (Capacitive Discharge Ignition) type ignition system, email us for a quote on Accel coil kits for this type of application

You are right about the Dyna2000 ignition system, they have been prone to failure, to the point where the ones that have them carry their OEM part with them so they don't get stranded. Also there was not much of a power gain reported with them. Worth the money? I think most would say no, they could put the $200-300 to better use.
