no, it's not recommended to use any sort of oil additive like DuraLube, Slick50, ProLong, etc. because of it's detrimental effects on our clutch.

There is some Duralube G A S treatment that works ok but can be hard to find. Stay away from the oil treatment as stated previously.

I would never put anything in my oil....but....

There was a thread a long while back on Y! about DuraLube Gas treatment.
Someone, somewhere allegedly tested a bunch of fuel additives, and found the DuraLube to perform better at cleaning carbs/injectors safely yet thoroughly, even better than Chevron Techron or Seafoam.
I've tried to Google for 'fuel treatments' etc to find a link to this...if it exists.
But...based on the Y! post, I went and bought some DuraLube Gas Treatment at Advance Auto and have used it for about the last year.
Never noticed any earth-shattering improvement, same with Seafoam &/or Techron, but my 750 always ran excellently anyway. I still use it in the Beemer every oil change...mostly because Advance sells 2 pints for about $10.
FWIW...as always YMMV....
