I was looking at these battery's at the store today, and the spec book hanging nearby said that battery #14AHL-BS is the replacement for the 750.

Of course, the only thing on the shelf was a number 14-BS.

Does anybody know the difference between these two? Is the 14-BS an acceptable alternate for the 14AHL-BS, or is it a "don't even think about it" deal?

If it has gold on the box and says AGM then thats the one. I've got the same battery and it's a good one

the AHL-BS has the positive terminal on the correct side of the battery for your VN750. The other one does not.
