So I've had an intermittent shut off situation for awhile.. It was that anytime I turned the handle bar, the engine cut off. It didn't matter if if was standing still in neutral or turning while on the road. Once I straightened up I could immediately restart and keep going...
Here's what I discovered this morning.
Idling
In neutral
KICKSTAND UP
Handlebar moved side to side, no issues (this morning)
Clutch lever moved in and out slowly, no issue

Same set up, but, KICKSTAND DOWN
Slowly pull the clutch and the engine cuts off..
Quickly pull the clutch, no issue.

I've cleaned the cut off switch and clutch switch. No changes

Any ideas.

Handlebar issue: Check/Clean wire harness "connectors" under neck covers.

If the bike is in neutral, none of this would matter.

you have an intermittent connection that needs to be found in the harness around the neck someplace.

Pulling the clutch with kickstand down does nothing if the bike is in neutral. if it were in gear it would die letting the clutch OUT...not pulling the lever.

I suggest that pulling the clutch put tension on the clutch cable....which slightly flexes it around the neck...possibly moving a wire bundle that is either shorting to the frame or has an intemittent connection.

I'm feeling a wire is rubbing somewhere because of the prior issue.. It would cut out ONLY when I turned. I'll pull some things off and take a closer look..

I had that same identicle problem, mine was from the wiring harness that attaches to the key igition,every time it would move it would loose contact and die.My suggestion would be start the bike, locate the harness of the key and wiggle it without moving the handle bars and see if it dies or not. Thats what was happening with mine. My simple fix was to place a small washer in the gap to keep it from moving around and adrop og super glue to hold the washer in place. I havent had the problem since doing it. I will try to post a pic or two for you.

In the top pic if you look you can see just a small washer in between the harness and the key ignition, thats what my problem was and this was my fix.
