They're capped with a soft metal plug, have to pick, drill, rip it out to get to the screw.

Drill very slowly. If you go too fast you will damage the screw under it.

I punched mine, but they only tore up my knuckles. Would not recommend.
never actually punched my carbs, but I have thrown them across the shop.not recommended either

After having to pull them again today, I was ready to drain the gas tank and toss a match on them.

Top tip; Replace all the 4x0.7mm phillips screws in the carbs and clamps with socket cap screws, it makes working on them sooooooooooo much easier.
