Hello everyone I'm having trouble finding new dampers or balancers at a good price. I was woundering if they could just be welded to the gear or even just eliminated ? Any insight would be greaty appreciated.
Thanks, Dan

NO & NO Welding them, or removing them will cause a BAD vibration, and subsequent catastrophic engine failure.
The rubber dampers are there to take the vibration out of the engine.
www.cheapcycleparts.com www.ronayers.com to name a couple have parts, and I'm sure there are a lot more out there.
You can check salvage yards, check on E-Bay, or watch the forum here for balancers and parts. pinwall cycle parts on E-Bay is always parting out engines, and you can ask in the sell or swap section in the forum here.

If you're replacing the rubber dampers, get new ones. No telling how old used ones are.

No. I wish Kawasaki had used offset crankpins to obtain proper balance, and left the balancers off, but they didn't. and the single crankpin engine will self destruct in no time without the balancers and rubber dampers.
