i got 11 inch harley shocks on mine just push the bushing out and push the ones off the vulcan shocks in

its easier if you heat them up and get the glue un stuck

they will be a bit stiff but not unbearable

Mine are similar to newrider's. I run em on the lowest setting and other than some of the worse bumps, the ride isn't bad. I drilled the eyelets out on mine so I could sell the stock ones later. Used a 9/16 bit and my drill press.

Here's a video of mine with Progressives. They dropped the rear by 2.25 inches. This was the video I used to sell my bike.

Yeah, if you order the kit from scootworks, they are made with a ~2.25 inch drop.

our stock shocks measure 12" from eye to eye, you can get a set of shocks for a harley (any brand of aftermarket) that are 9.5 to 10" eye to eye. I personally am running a set of shocks for a honda GL1100 that I modded a little bit.. stock length was 13" I cut them down to 8" so the spring height alone dropped me 4" then made a 2" drop bracket for a total of 6" drop... now youi can't drop the bike 6" with out doing some other mods, like relocating the fender, dropping the front forks (or re-raking them, which is next on my list), and removing the center stand and GB.

Slim, thank you for the info....
Specifically I would like to know "Does Progressive sell different shock models/PN which fit/adapable to) our 750's" ?
As in...this Progressive model/PN drop 1.5" but yet a different Progressive Model/PN drop 2.25" for our bikes.
Are they all adjustable settings ?

lets say you want a Progressive 4120 shock (very standard model of progressive shock) you want 2" of drop over stock... so you look up a shock 10" long shock that will fit a Harley Sportster, its that simple.. If you want another style of shock... again look for a Harley Sportster with the desired amount of drop.

Mine are. They make a spanner that you use to adjust them (think it cost like $12), but I've used a strap wrench as well.

They use a spring pre-load setting unlike the stock shocks which are dampening settings. So, the progressives are truly designed to go stiffer or softer; and from what I've experienced, even the softest setting my be too harsh for some folks. I know when I put mine on, I cranked to stiffest setting at first. Made me glad I didn't go through with hard tailing the bike.

I've been riding mine on the lowest setting and fir the most part it's good. They bottom out on the hard bumps, so I've moved them up to 2. We'll see how that goes.
