Anyone know the length of the stock front brake cable on our bikes? I'm getting a new cable for 12" mini apes so I need something 4" longer, but I can't measure the line very easily while it's on the bike.

Also while you're here (hah) - should I also get a new clutch cable? I was told that could be rerouted but I'm not sure.

I want to say it was around 19" I know the 30" I got was more than enough for my 18" apes try looking up part number 03-5923 its a 23 inch hose from bikers choice I believe. I can try and double check my old brake hose when Im at home but I'm almost 100% sure. The clutch cable can be re- routed and for 12" apes it should work just fine.

Sorry I missed your reply, yes those look fine just keep in mind the 23" should be exactly what you need but the 25" is the best way to play it safe. Just make sure theres no leaks after you install it and bleed the brakes. Hope it all works out! Happy Riding.

You can measure cables and hoses without removing them by running pinstripe tape down them. It will stick on and follow curves, start where you wish to measure, cut it where it stops then take it off lay it down flat and measure it.

And I won't say anything about calling brake lines "cables" because I'll just get dumped on for "correcting" someone....:) :)

Haha feel free to correct...in fact I'd rather have people correct as much as possible. Trying to get out of the newb stage sooner rather than later :)
