Is there anyone that makes a larger fuel tank for the 750? Somewhere in the 4.5 to 5 gallon range? Any suggestions are appreciated and thanks!

Nope. Would have to be a custom tank. I'm thinking of getting an old tank and experimenting with making it larger.

I've seen a custom/modified tank on ebay once. And only once. If you where a talented enough metal worker I'd think youd have alot of customers. Also the bigger tank subject has come up a few times & I don't beleive anything has come out of it. Please someone prove me wrong. With the milage I put on my bike, I'm filling up every day.

I just have some ideas on how to modify the tank. Widening it on the sides, adding a little bit of height to it. Just need to do some type of plastic/foam/fiberglass mock ups to see how it will work. That's why I need a spare tank. Form it to the spare and then sit it on the bike to see how it will physically fit. I'm trying to see if I can fit another 1.5 gallons in it. I'm not a talented enough metalworker, but there is a custom motorcycle shop not far from me that can do the work once I come up with the designs.

I'd be very interested in a larger gas tank IF it followed the same lines as the original. The looks of the stock tank is something that really appeals to me and if the bigger tank could kinda look the same I'd be in the market for one. A subtle enlargement without a "fat" look would be something of interest to me...

Bars would be the problem

The tank would have to fit with stock bar set-up or add risers. There's little clearance with the stock tank when pulled full left or right. Taller tank would not be a good thing, wider would be the only option I can see.

I have wondered about a aux tank with pump if needed in a saddle bag. Remember the CT200 Honda 90 (trail)?

The one that was on ebay had a 5gal capacity & looked like a factory tank. It was quite well done. In the description, it was explained that it was cut into 2 sections. Top and bottom. Metal added, welded ect. It deffinatly could be done. But I wonder if it was being sold for "Handle Bar Clearance" Issues. We don't have alot to play with!

I totally sympathize with wanting a bigger tank. It would be great if we could just lift one off an 800 or 1500 and just drop it on top of our frame.

Have a look at this site, these guys make auxiliary tanks http://www.tourtank.com/

I was thinking this same question for the past couple of days and just found this thread so I want to add a new question (to an old thread). I changed a tank on an old kz 450 ltd to a larger tank from another kaw and it worked fine. Also did my old hondas the same way so why can't we find another kawasaki tank from another model that would fit? Any new ideas since Oct.?
