As said in the beginning of that thread, wasn't this a sticky and is there any reason why it shouldn't be?don't even know why it was taken down as a sticky, maybe magic pixie dust accidentally got sprinkled on it?

Definitely should be stickied. I've linked it like 3 times recently where the person probably would have found it on their own. Then again, I did just search "blowback carbs" and found it right away.

Maybe that's why I haven't found my ironheads carb yet.

First, Thank you Knifemaker for the link, and second, thanks everyone else for making me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes! Did not know this thread would turn out so funny!:crying:

Is there any other explanation on how to do this? This guy seemed upset someone wanted a vid, because to new comers we didn’t fully understand the jargon and parts he was referring to.
Short version:

Find a hose that fits snug on the drain at the bottom of the carb. Condensate drain hose off the front of the airbox should fit.

With the hose on the drain outlet, open the drain and blow into the hose so pressure is forced into the float chamber.

Make sure you drain carb before you blow into it, otherwise you'll be drinking gas.
