As I stopped at a light and put my foot down I was surprised how slippery it was. The white coating used to mark the pavement for lane assignment arrows etc. is like ice. Treat them like patches of ice. When you don't ride on wet pavement for a while, you may be reminded rudely. I'm sure you guys that ride in the rain frequently have a long lists of Heads Up items.

manhole covers, tar snakes, oil stains at stoplights...the road itself during the first few minutes after the rain starts.

Basically anything that is shinny can be slippery. So, when I see shinny, a little voice says, "SHINNY=BAD!".
