My alternator wires got fried by the exhaust pipe.. My '94 has a 2006 engine.. and apparently the wires were routed incorrectly.. Obviously ,I need to replace them.. What gauge are they?... 16, 18 ?.. help..
I'm pretty sure they are 18 gauge, but jumping up a size or two should be beneficial to the performance of the stator as there will be less resistance with the larger wire and therefore slightly less heat buildup.
Thanks Wolfie.. you rock.. same advice my dad gave me.. he's an electrical engineer but, knows nothing about bikes.. now , I got confirmation .. that.. I should of listened to my dad.. hahaha.. but, I'm sure glad to find out you got my back too ,bro...
