Any good tricks to adjust the front brake lever to come back some? I have to stretch my fingers pretty good to use the new 750, but of my 3 750's this is the only one that it's an issue on. The brakes are practically new on it and very stiff. My other bikes are softer and not as much of an issue to use the front brake lever since they squeeze easily. One bike has 40k, my daily driver, this one has 8k and everything is stiff on it. Huge wear difference. My 05 with 40k is a comfortable shoe. The new one is a fresh pair needing broken in.

Also this 750 has a different master cylinder for some reason

Larger master cylinder on the new bike I just got (88 model) and is much stiffer. I'd be happy if I could just make it less stiff somehow. Yes, I want worse brakes. :)

there is no *adjustment* for the position of the lever in relation to the bars.

a different master cylinder? the did change them at one time (older had rectangular res, newer is round). other than that, someone may have changed it in the past to a different one.
*note* the 2 different masters from maw kaw used different levers, they are NOT interchangable

as far as being 'stiff'.. mine (05) is stiff after it has set overnight. one or 2 squeezes gets it softened up. you could have some rust on one (or more) of the pistons in the calipers, or some sediment in the master.

Right, hence the "trick" parts. Just looking for options.

I'd prefer the smaller master, it's got great compression, but not too great. I've rebuilt both recently. The large one just has tons of pressure. I'd rather it not.

Just pull the handle and stick a needle in it to clear it out. It'll do well after that. Your bleeder has crud in it.

while I said the 2 are not interchangeable, you can actually take a complete assy from one (including lever) and swap it out. So, you can put a newer style (round) on an older style bike, by changing the master cylinder, and handle as an assy.

the handles are not interchangeable between the 2 styles
