All I am saying is what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
Wasn't me this time... LolIs “he” nameless? Or did I miss another edited thread?
KM. I thought it might be rude to post a username in the title. Is “he” nameless? Or did I miss another edited thread?
I appreciate your input, although it's important to mention that this is absolutely not my first rodeo. I do not make rash decisions nor unfair ones.@O' Darkness Respectfully, this is a bad look for you.
First of all it's never received well when a new moderator (1 1/2 year) places a member with decades of participation and thousands of posts on time out.
Second it almost looks like a targeted act when you yourself started a very controversial subject such as gun control and ask for opinions.
I would hope that you communicated to him privately to resolve this matter before broadcast it to everyone else.
Thanks for having moved the controversial thread to the politics section, BTW.I appreciate your input, although it's important to mention that this is absolutely not my first rodeo. I do not make rash decisions nor unfair ones.
Regardless of the topic of conversation -whether it be considered controversial or not- there's simply no excuse nor tolerance for direct insults. PERIOD.
What I find to be far more concerning is that ANY "member with decades of participation and thousands of posts" should know better.
It's my duty to treat everyone equally and fairly until they've broken the rules. You break the rules, you're going to experience consequences. Especially when the rules are broken intentionally.
Thank you for your comment!
No problem. That was actually my own oversight to begin with. I hadn't considered that some might consider it a political discussion, but considering the laws and regulations, blah blah blah, I realized I'd erred. Thanks for having moved the controversial thread to the politics section, BTW.
Especially a former moderator...I appreciate your input, although it's important to mention that this is absolutely not my first rodeo. I do not make rash decisions nor unfair ones.

The ex-moderator was the first to say that it doesn't matter who you are, if you violate the TOS(terms of service) you will be punished for it, no matter your status... What is good for the goose is good for the gander. He used that same saying when he gave a lifelong ban to a former moderator who also was well known on this forum.@O' Darkness Respectfully, this is a bad look for you.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that the message this sends is received well with consideration.I quit following the forum for about 10 years because of said user. I see he hasn't changed much.
We'll see...I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that the message this sends is received well with consideration.
That's a rather interesting and accurate philosophy... You could almost substitute just about anything for "posts"...Lots of posts come from having a full imagination and empty six-pack.
