Sorry to see another 750 go. Best of luck with the sale!

In the Southern Californian market, the price tag would be a bit high, and probably wouldn't get much response. NADA pricing for a bike of that year in average/good condition lists for $2,483, and KBB for excellent condition is $2,720.

yes, but has this bike is as Rook says in pristine condition. I personally would pay what Rook is asking.. if I were closer and looking for a bike that is ready to ride right now.

NADA Value for excellent condition in Conway Arizona is $6,099... so $3,800 is a steal.

Wasn't the $6,099 price listed as new? In the nada?

Yes that is the new price. $2,483 is the highest price listed on NADA, with KBB being a bit higher. With bikes. KBB tends to be artificially high compared to NADA. The price listed, at least according to NADA/KBB, is way overblown.

Either way, knowing what I know about these bikes, I would shoot closer to the NADA values if I wanted to move it. There are just a lot nicer/more reliable bikes available for $3k on the open market. I'm not trying to beat the guy up over his pricing, but just being honest.

I guess how urgent the sale is to him is what really would dictate things for me. If it has no time-frame, then I'd just leave the price he's asking. If he needs to move it prior to the end of the season, then I'm not sure the price would motivate buyers.

Yea Tanner, I agree and me personally when I'm looking to buy, car, truck, bike or whatever the first place I go is NADA. At least that gives me a good starting point. Also can do a nation wide search for whatever(bikes-cars-ect) just to get a good idea of what it brings across the board. Sometimes it takes that one buyer to come along and fall in love!!!

lets not ruin the poor guys thread...jeez!

It's bad enough he has to let the bike go, I'm sure he doesn't need us debating his price listed....after all he was only asking that price and it was followed with OBO....

Personally, I think the bike is clean and probably well worth his asking price.

Good luck with the sale Rook! hopefully it will find a good home where it will get the same TLC you and the wife gave it.

Thanks for all the input guys! As for the price, it's my wife's ride so I let her set the price, I have seen them on Cycle trader for more so...

I would like to see it go sooner rather than later, she wants to fly to see her dad in SF before he passes.
