The loom that feeds my igniter on my 86 VN has a twin female connector taped into the black and yellow wire, that goes to the igniter. I also have a white/lt blue wire with a twin female connector spare from the same loom. I have a Kawasaki Manual but I need A microscope to see it. I suspect the black/yellow join is some kind of previous attempted repair, not in use, so I might remove it. The White/lt blue looks factory and is a worry. Anyone know what it or they are for?

1/4 Female spade connectors on the ends? if so they are your accessory wires, not used, they are there for hooking up exactly that accessories

yup and they have constant power from the battery so what ever you hook into them needs a switch on it unless you want it to have constant power

fyi there is another set of wires for the same purpose inside the headlight bucket
