I got some Progressive 412 shocks that are 2 inches shorter than stock from Deuce and I have a couple of questions now that I put them on.

First, I haven't done anything to lower the front. I have read all of the threads about how I could experience everything from a better ride to OMG WTF BBQ wobbles and instability. :) I went for a short ride and everything felt perfectly fine from slow speed up to 70mph. So I'm not too worried about that.

My question is, will I be okay without doing anything to the kickstand to shorten it? I definitely don't have a gangsta lean going on but the bike seems stable enough on the side stand.

As long as there is some degree of lean onto the side stand, you should be fine. The bike is heavy enough so not to topple over under semi windy conditions. I think the only bike one has to worry about that happening to is the KLR650.
