Nice walk-through. This would be a great time to moly-up the final drive before reassembly, too.

Yeah, it'd be a good idea to wire the swing arm to the frame so that doesn't happen. I'll make note of that in the video.

I think your actual bearing packing technique could use some improvement though. :)

I tried to write up the technique I have used for 40 years, but it was too wordy and not clear enough for anyone not familiar with the procedure.

I found this 20 second clip on Youtube that demonstates the technique I was taught as a teenager by my father, a heavy duty mechanic.

This is the quickest, simplest and most efficient way of packing a bearing that I know off, and does not require any special tools.

Yup! That's how I do it. It ensures the grease is fully embedded throughout the entire inside of the bearing.
