I think your actual bearing packing technique could use some improvement though.
I tried to write up the technique I have used for 40 years, but it was too wordy and not clear enough for anyone not familiar with the procedure.

This is the quickest, simplest and most efficient way of packing a bearing that I know off, and does not require any special tools.
