Choke lever gone

I went to remove the my carbs yesterday and I went to make sure the choke was all the way released when I realized my bike doesn't have a choke lever anymote.

When the tree fell on it last year I guess it broke the lever. Now I can't find where it goes and how do I replace it? Do I need a new lever or the whole assembly on the handlebar?

Blessings!
Richard

Need to remove the grip and the switch assembly, then slide the lever off the end of the bars. These pics should give you an idea what to expect.

Not to bad, no worse than doing the throttle cables.
