I found these striped wires, was wondering what they were to.

Nevermind, they're not the ones I was thinking about.

They're all striped wires.

Looks like your up at the front, left side. The two bullet connectors do something for the ignition I think. One is definitely always hot. I know because I watched it spark on my frame.

I meant stripped... sorry. Its a red one and orange with a yellow stripe. Is the picture not big enough? This is above the air box fyi

Yeah its on the front left above the air box. I cant get a better picture at the moment. According to the wire diagram the red goes to the start button and run switch. Can anyone confirm

Not sure what they are ... but pretty sure you need them.... ;)

Did they melt or get worn down from rubbing against something?

Its worn down, but nothing touches it. The guy i just bought it from stored it in his barn for a year so maybe some mice got hungry

Yeah it goes to the red plug. Red plug goes to the killswitch area I believe.

While we are on the topic, what would you guys suggest for covering bare wires like this? Can't fit a roll of tape through, and I don't like snipping pieces and wrapping.

Rtv? Caulk? Flex seal? I would say shrink wrap, but you can't slide it on.

Ill prob snip and add new wire with connectors or cut little 1/2" pieces of black tap and sit for an hour wrapping piece by piece lol
