worked late last night and got end off of new shifter shaft welded on and got weld ground down and cleaned up!!!!the pic of the shaft has not been ground and cleaned up... i did the weld job and waiting now to hear from my mechanic to see if the side cover went on alright!!!! got my fingers and toes crossed!!!!!
yeah i got it worked down smooth and measured it and seal will ride about 3/8 of an inch behind weld!! now if my weld holds everything will be great!!!think im gonna coaster it while its all tore down!!!!!!!!! the owner of the muffler shop i manage sells motorcycle parts and accessories, fixin to order me a set of v+h cruzers next week ,i can get them at his wholesale cost for 289.00 !!!!!!! thanks for the encouragement and advice i will post some pics soon!
If you look he has a hammer stuffed under the motor holding it up. You can tilt the motor and get it off.
