I'm thinking green!
Kawasaki green! 8 parts yellow 1 part blue. what do you think?
my paints getting a little worn, don't get me wrong its still in pretty good shape but a few chips on front fender, one scratch on the tank and the tank has a gas stain on it where the po didnt wipe it off when he dripped, not real noticeable but I notice it! I forget, one of you guys bike is all orange and I think it looks really good. but thought kaw green might be cool too. probably be next year befor I can do it though, want to get some toc springs front tire and a couple other things still this year. anyone on here play with photoshop and can see what it looks like? |
I'd go for more of a "candy green" , or that dayglo chartruce, but this looks good :

(i am not trying to hijack the thread ..sorry:rockon:) |
I haved never been overly fond of green on cars and trucks, but that green looks good on the bike. Is that green on the fender the same Kawi green that is on the vn900 custom?
|
There's a 900 custom in a shop near me that looks really sharp in that green. I like it.
|
KM, you just shifted the hue in that photo right? Looks like the blue has been dropped from the rest of the photo too. I think it would look really sharp in that candy apple green (is that a color?) but with the whole tank in the same color, without the two tone. I don't know about the KAW MX green, but it probably would look stunning on the 750...

And yes Candy Apple Green is a real color: http://tinyurl.com/nxr654 Most of the time it has a metal flake or pearl finish to it. Candy Apple green and candy apple red were as mentioned big colors used for custom cars in the early 70's....usualy very heavy with the metal flake. Kawasaki Green is more subdued, as the green in this jacket: http://tinyurl.com/ldb4fy There is also neon green, dayglow green (which is usualy called chartruse) and the ever popular "Monkey Vomit Green" which is that weird metalic seafoam/washed out lime crappy ass green you see on new buicks driven by real old people. In automotive colors , the most varied color is blue. Ranging from a almost bleached out powder blue to that real dark blue that looks black at night. Try this with green and you end up with alot of not so good looking colors. For some reason blue always seems pleasent. KM |
