Problem with Front Brake Lever

I've a 1989 VN750.

Just noticed last night that the lever for the front brake (that you pull with your fingers to use the brake) is very loose for the first 1/4" or so.

When riding, the wind is enough to move it back that 1/4", and it causes my brake lights to be on, all the time.

I can push it forward with the tip of my fingers, but as soon as I move them, the wind pushes it back again.

What do I need to do to fix this little problem?

Check and see if you have a locknut under the pivot bolt for the lever. That's the only thing I can think of (off-hand) that would create that much laxity in the lever.
