Your moto-mag of choice?
I was just curious if anyone subscribed to (or picked up at the store on a regular basis) any motorcycle related magazines.
I'd like to find one that's geared more toward cruisers like ours if possible (most seem to favor the sport bikes or custom built choppers). I'd just like to have something that has some good articles and reviews on products. Anybody have one they like? |
The best I know of is https://www.vn750.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11 but you already get it......:smiley_th...

I'm just looking for something to accompany the Clymer's Repair and Service Manual in the water closet. :beerchug: |
there are a few good ones... I read a lot of V-Twin Mag. They seam to have stuff for any bike that has a twin engine

IMO the best bang for the buck magazine out there is called "Motorcycle Consumer News". It's available by subscription only, you can sign up on their website http://www.mcnews.com/mcn/ . They are a lot like Consumer Reports where they give honest evaluations of things and they accept no advertising whatsoever so they are not beholden to anyone. They are 100% subscriber supported. It's the only one I keep renewing my subscription to.
Every month they have a few bike reviews, motorcycle industry news, new gadget reviews and comparisons, book reviews, a column on motorcycle safety, and a reader write-in section answering motorcycle repair questions. Last month they compared four motorcycle helmet cams. In the past they've compared mini motorcycle tire inflators, motorcycle oriented GPS systems, flip up helmets, etc. They've come up with some really good stuff. But, if lots of flashy pictures of cruisers and advertising are more your speed you could just check out Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine: http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/index.html For a good all around motorcycle magazine Rider is pretty good too: http://www.ridermagazine.com/ -Sloppy. |
I just subscribed to Ride Texas and Peterson's Bowhunting mags for the water closet. The latter probably won't have anything that will benefit the biker, unless you're a lot like me. I'll give you my thoughts on Ride Texas after I get an issue or two. Of course, you might not be from Texas, ....

I read Motorcycle Cruiser and Motorcyclist.
|
I get Cycle World and pick up Rider sometime at the store, along with ROADBIKE, which I prefer over Rider.(and kinda do over Cycle World too)

I have subscript's to Cycle World, Motorcyclist, Motorcycle Cruiser, Rider, Motorcycle Classics, and Sportbike Rider.
