h2ok9 I found and fixed the problem. I should have stuck to my KISS method of maintenance (Keep It Simple Stupid). I took out the front right directional bulb and cleaned the two round lead contacts on the base. There was a little micro corrosion on the lead. Reinstalled with good contact, operation normal. Thanks jm2001 for your input.

I replaced the connectors with new ones for a solid connection, problem solved. Today the right turn signal started blinking fast again only differently than before. Thanks in advance.
Could be a bad connection, bad flasher, or a bad filament in the bulb. The rear bulbs are 1156 single filament because they are directional only. The front bulbs are 1157 dual filament because they are directional and running lights. The directional filament ( the brightest ) might be bad.

Turn signal blinks fast

Hi All,

About a week ago my right turn signal quit working and the relay was cycling much faster than normal. The amber turn indicator light was blinking fast but neither rt turn light illuminated. After checking the bulbs and found them to be good, I pulled the seat and found a wire to the rt rear directional pulled out of the spade quick disconnect.
