A long shot but, If it happens again, pop the gas cap to eliminate possibility of POOGS. (wouldn't hurt).

Check all ground cables and make sure all connectors are clean and affixed securely.
Use electrical contact cleaner on connectors and pack them with dielectric grease to prevent moisture from getting back in.

Hitting bumps causing power failure
I've been scouring the forums for possible solutions to a problem I started experiencing recently and can't seem to find anything that quite matches...
Yesterday while riding home, I hit a fairly standard-issue bump and immediately lost engine power; slowing very quickly while I attempted to restart. Other electrical seemed to be functional while the engine was dead - I could grind on the startor and even got it running again before I came to a complete stop. I believe I noticed the dash lights and similar were still functional when the engine power cut out. It started back up and promptly cut out again a few times, so I hopped off and took a look. I jiggled a few wires, disconnected and reconnected the plug caps and 2 visible wiring harnesses, and all was well for the rest of my 20 mile ride home.
It happened again today after traveling a bumpy section of road, so I'm thinking the bumps might not be a coincidence here? But I could be wrong. It seems more electrical than gas - but again, I could be wrong. When power is lost, it has cut out immediately and cleanly, and with some in-out-in-out choppiness before dying...
Where should I start checking for something loose or touching something it shouldn't be touching? Any help is greatly appreciated!
