I just checked your suggestions. 3 complete different variations of taste, jejeje. the plexi is a big transparent cover-all shield, the spitfire a sport medium fairing attached to the handlebars, and the memphis slims is a tall reinforced shield. Everyone looked fine, best looking seems to be the spitfire, best covering the plexifairing3, but the memphis looks good enough and protects a little more than the spitfire.
O.K. I think the memphis wins the first round for me.

Cheers!

LurchChaos On Lulu I am using the memphis slims with lowers The amount of deflection I get is just right it keeps the wind off my chest and legs.

rckmtn I also have a Spitfire and it helps deflect the wind away. Lots of bugs take the side road . I would like to try one like the PF3 for cold days when our Wyoming wind is hitting25-30 with gusts.

ruger i have a small Windshield (spitfire) on my vn750. i think it looks good and it works great! it made a BIG difference. it keeps the wind from blasting me in the chest and that means less fatigue, so i can ride longer!

I love the Plexifairing 3.

Sure, the bike looks better without it.

But I've only ridden it once without the windshield (when I was having it cut down a few inches). And I didn't like it at all!

You just have not ridden a bike with a properly fitted windshield. They should not really "deflect" air to legs , hands, whatever..most of what you feel is the diffrence between the parts that are getting NO WIND to those that still are.

Once you find the right windscreen it is very hard to go back to not having one. But yeah, some folks just don't feel like they are on a motorcycle unless the wind is trying to blast them off the seat, so it's what you are used to.

I'll never go back to not having one. And as far as looks goes, my comfort matters to me more. If I wanted a show bike I'd buy a chromed to hell harley........

coyote well we always use fullfaced helmets, but its kinda windy here on summer.
The idea of a second windshild is not bad at all. Perhaps a memphis hellcat?

kanuck69 Being the flyscreen mounts to the headlight bucket, perhaps you could buy a second screen (handlebar maount) for when she rides with you. I understand most of them remove easly. I also bought the Flyscreen but I wouldn't say it's much of a windshield as much as the name says "flyscreen". Pretty much it keeps the bugs off the cloths. I've actuall thought of a second windshield, with the right one it might look kinda cool!
