Update

Just to give you guys an Update!
Somebody sent me my registration in the mail! It said that they found it on Sheridan Ave, which is exactly where I think I lost the box.
I dont know maybe he/she kept the rest of the stuff or maybe he did find the registration only, in which case it was really nice of him/her.
Nevermind I am over it!

If somebody hears something about a toolbox for sale I am in! I am searching!

curtis97322 If the seat wasn't bolted down then the box probably wasn't. For now I'd definitely put some bolts in for the seat...

Like lancer said you should be able to find a pretty cheap box on fleabay - might even try posting in the sell/swap area here...

lancer19 Sorry to hear that. You can usually pick up a box from Ebay or your local junkyard for pretty cheap. The most expensive part will be the lock if you go with the standard Kaw lock. Or, you could do like some other on here have done and get a lock from Home Depot.
As for the papers....that's going to be some work. Really sorry about that.
Have you tried backtracking the roads you've ridden just to see if it's off on the side somewhere?

That is a good question. I have no idea if it was bolted on. I bought the bike last month and never even looked. But you know what now I am almost sure this was the case because my seat was not bolted on to anything(still isnt) when I removed it to change the battery. So I really dont know what was keeping the box from falling. I have done 200 miles on the bike so far. Maybe it was just sitting there waiting for a long tough ride(wind and potholes) to make it fall.
There is just no way it was stolen because I rode the bike and then put it in the garage.
Man it is quite ugly without it now! With the high passenger backrest on there is a big hole there, you can immediately tell that something was supposed to be there and now isnt.

Ccspinner The screwa to the seat and there is one more screw holding it there.
That s strange that the box is missing, Hope somebody finds it and turns it in if they know it has your stuff in it.

It's pretty common to loose the lid... I put real hinges on mine as outlined a while back here. I'll find the link if no one else does first.
The whole box is missing ,not just the lid! Pretty bizarre! I have no idea what was holding it but it is like it was never there.

lancer19 Here is a link to the hinge discussion I think Hyper was talking about:
https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4902

It also has step by step instructions on the hinge I made for the box on my bike.
