OleDirtyDoc did a two piece sportster seat on mine.all i needed to do was bend the seatpan a little over my knee, bolted a piece of flatstock under the tank mount to act as a lip to hold down the front of the seat, and drilled a hole in the fender.i then made a bracket to bolt down the back of the pillion.i origionally took off the sissy bar and bolted some aftermarket blinkers to the fender, but i have since put it back on,as it makes a great place to strap groceries to(this is my daily ride).

This is the way I attach mine to the bike. The bracket is revited to the seat bucket.

Wolfie I just bolted a triangular tab to the rear of my solo, drilled a hole in the fender, rubber grommet to cushion, and a chrome accorn nut on top...I had a big wingnut at first, but KC and Denny have converted me to chrome and shiny.

Wolfie This is what Im using now...dunno what its off of....I fabbed my own brackets/mounts with no more than a drill and 4" grinder....I believe its off of a Jap "classic" type....I love it...gonna add a P pad too....

You can mod most seats to work...big thing is you wanna get the frame/fender bend close. I ended up with a gap, so added leather fringe....

Look for a Vulcan 900 Classic solo seat...its almost a bolt on....

And thanks for reminding me, I gotta finish a solo I been working on....Im getting senile....

Deviate Removing the chrome bracket is no big deal. It's mainly decoration anyway if you mount the seat differently. There are several options for the seat, it just depends on how creative you are and how well you can fab up mounting options. I cut the back of my seat pan so the "back rest" laid flat. Then I put a bolt through the seat pan and through the fender with an acorn nut underneath. But there are a lot of other options available as well.

M_Angell If I recall correctly, the second one with the whitewalls, he used a stock seat pan and modded it. He.chopped the back and reupholstered it. Then he made a bracket under the seat to bolt the back of it down. Stock rear fender. The first pic looks like a custom rear fender and seat. Probably made a fiberglass seat pan to match his fender angle.
