LibertPilot, thanks . My goal was different and cheap. Under a $1000 met one goal. The only thing really different from others is the 3 inches added to the swing arm, lowered forks, upside down clip-ons, lower line of headlight, speedo and tack and idiot lights. ?

Just when you think you can't be more impressed. I'm not sure how you did it but as far my personal taste in bikes goes, you nailed it. Of all the custom work I've seen done on this forum, this has to be my favorite bike. I love the look of the tank with the engine, with the seat, with the bars, with the tires, the color - everything! In fact, it's a shame we don't live closer. I'd buy something with a great engine and frame, give it to you, tell you to got nuts, then buy it back from you. Very impressive man, I LOVE it!!

The son in law will out run the Sporty 883s now anyway.
I remember when the Honda 750s were first released and how powerful they were to a 15 yo kid.

Every farm boy I went to school with got a 100 cc Japanese bike, which he could legally ride with a learners permit from age 14 to 16, after which he got a drivers licence and could legally drive dad's pickup truck.

Three cheers for the original UJM, (Universal Japanese Motorcycle for the uninitiated ).
