fergy If or when mine starts leaking, I'll replace it with an on/off/res petcock. I've put them on both my KZ's and much prefer them. Just have to cap off the vacuum to the carbs. Plus, they are around $26 from z1enterprises.com.

tampametal yeah good deal... $53 doesnt sound bad either, just have to wait the 5 days for shipping. Maybe someone here on the forum has a spare laying around. (hint hint) lol

hyperbuzzin I would think getting an entire new unit should certainly fix the problem.
And if ya go that route, ya could still rebuild the old one and have a spare.

tampametal Thanks for the response. I actually found a local dealer that can order a petcock for $53. The part number is 51023-1187, would you just recommend getting that instead of hoping its just a o-ring?

hyperbuzzin There is a rubber O-ring that seals the petcock to the tank. (PN 51039)
Could be that has wore out or developed a crack.
There are a couple other O-rings that could be the problem.
Is it leaking between the tank & petcock, or more from the petcock itself?

leaking around gas reserve switch

Recently I have developed a small leak around my reserve/on/off switch on my 92 vulcan 750. Does anyone have any info if diagrams on how to repair this please. Any info would be appreciated.

Jake
