LibertyPilot Nice trip man, thanks for the report. My irrational fear of heights kicked in looking at those last couple pictures. Speaking of which, is Elvis doing Kung Fu? Awesome video too; the second one more than the first. You got some skill holding that camera and filming while riding, brother!!! Again, thanks for this awesome post!

theauhawk Judging by what I can see in the photos and the video, your friend's Magna is in amazing shape--especially for its age. I don't think I've ever seen one that sharp elsewhere.

If my history lessons are correct, when that bike first came out, it was the world's fastest production motorcycle (but was soon eclipsed by other designs). Because of its features and power (for its time), it is truly a special machine.... Love the chrome front fender--I gather that was factory original, too. It's cool how the Magna has that menacing, bad-boy look...even just sitting still.

This forum desparately needs more threads like this one. THANKS SO MUCH for taking the time and trouble to post your story, pix, and video!!!

Fun roads, good friends, great times, cool bikes and neat pix....in the end, that's what it's all about........

Old Dog Thanks for the pics phurp, would have enjoyed that ride, but went on another with a bit of twisties itself...lol... We got in about 175 mi. ride Sunday, went down to Signal Mtn. and rode the W-Rd. (W=Whacky)...

Sorta kept you busy in the senic places, didn't take any pics myself, got that photo off google maps...lol...
Then yesterday we rode down to Lynville Tn., which was a good ride of about 165 mi. ...
Have a good one...Old Dog...

DACataldo Thanks for the update, phurp. Don't get me wrong, I got out of bed later that morning feeling GUILTY for not being on the road with you guys. In hindsight, however, I would have been quite ill prepared for the trip. Hope there's a next time.
