Well, I took the wife's bike on a 150 mile trip one Sunday afternoon last summer. Let me tell you that I was sitting in all sorts of positions, because of the sore buttocks. Doesn't seem to bother her, though. So I guess it's ok since it's not my bike.

Mazdaracer4fun true the seat is much harder but i cant say thats a bad thing (for me) as i havent ridden it further then around the block yet lol DAMN THIS COLD CRAPPY WEATHER! oh and WORK! lol

Looks like a stock seat to me. Yamaha offers that as an option on the VStars. (Studded seats, that is.) The only complaint I have of my wife's VStar 950 is that the seat is even harder than my Vulcan seat.

Mazdaracer4fun bigger in physical size and lower to ground (what i really wanted) engine size and power means nothing to me at this time. though i do love the 750's power but the v star is WAY more comfy specially the passenger seat is MUUUUCH bigger for the mrs.

ruger maybe the 650 has more room? it maybe a "bigger bike", but it's engine is not bigger!
